Initial development and user testing of Leo Cancer Care’s upright radiotherapy machine
Design Momentum was part of the initial development and user testing of Leo Cancer Care’s pioneering upright radiotherapy machine
Our efforts allowed the team to understand the embodiment of a complete system and perform valuable user testing of patient positioning, comfort and safety, along with key technology placement.

Our role and responsibilities
"Leo Cancer Care (LCC) is a company set to revolutionise the delivery of radiation therapy on a global scale. LCC have spent the last 5 years designing and developing complex machinery from the ground up within the framework of the heavily regulated medical device industry. Design Momentum were brought on board to support our engineering effort in the development of such a radiotherapy device. They worked with our internal team to outline a scope of work from our high level user needs, define a clear and well constructed set of requirements and executed on those requirements to bring us to the prototype stage.
The team were able to provide clear project management from the outset and delivered against the plan they set out - exactly what we needed. I could not recommend Design Momentum enough and see that in our case, they have proven themselves to not only have the creativity to help in the creation of an idea but the dedication and engineering capability to deliver on it."
